Peekaboo: The concept can be seen through the different materials used (tiles and glass) and the spaces given for privacy along the stairs. The use of glass for only a section of the cylinders creates a sense of ‘peeking’, allowing the internal structures and ground to be seen.
Modern Art: This concept is conveyed through the abstract nature of the stairs that are suspended by wires, all attached together in the middle. This almost mimics a bridge-like shape. The unconventional shape of the stairs creates rigidity and sharpness that portray an experimentalist characteristic of modern art.
